My EOS lip balms are going in the trash!

I'm probably like everyone else because I loved EOS lip balms. However, a couple months ago I started to get VERY chapped lips. Of course, I kept applying EOS because I thought it would make it better. Not only were my lips chapped, but I had a lot of dryness around my mouth as well. I stopped using my EOS balms and used vaseline instead. It took a good month or two to completely heal up.

Now, my lips were perfect yesterday! Last night, I applied EOS before I went to bed...when I woke up...the rash was back! I know I'm not allergic to anything in this balm because I've used organic products before. I know I'm not the only one with this problem either. I haven't seen anyone post about it unless they were wondering if that is what is causing it. Well, now I know this is what it is...these babies are going in the trash ASAP!

Has anyone else have this problem?!

I have another allergic reaction post - HERE!

    1. Really? I just googled it today and saw that a lot of people have had problems with it.

    2. The same thing happened to me. But instead it made the corners if my mouth cracked and very painful. I've used these for years and loved them. But I recently purchased the tangerine one which is medicated. Never again. I applied it before bed and woke up with painful sores.

    3. Oh my goodness! Thank goodness I never tried the medicated one!

    4. I'm having the exact same problem now and it's driving me crazy. My lips are super dry and around my mouth as well. I started using casa line yesterday, but i have to be public a lot, is there any way to heal it faster?

    5. It took mine about two weeks to heal completely. But if you keep a lip moisturizer like Vaseline on all the time and cover with makeup, it shouldn't be too noticeable. :)

    6. I just had an allergic reaction to my EOS and some new face wipes. I bought some hydrocortisone cream and Carmex and all of the reaction seems to be going away! So sorry

    7. I bought the pink EOS about 3 months ago. After some time, I started to have what I thought was angular chileitis and had no idea where it came from. It went away but then would come back. It came back about a week or so ago and i threw out the EOS lip balm along with all my other lipsticks etc but it has come back for a third time now! I dont know how it could have been the chap stick when i threw it out and it came back again? I am seeing a dermatologist next week. Does anyone have any luck with the redness?

    8. I also had an allergic reaction to this balm as well! I purchased the strawberry one and acia berry one. They worked for the first two months, but then I started seeing rashes appear on my face around the corners of my mouth about a week ago! I tried to apply the eos lip balm on my lips, because they were getting more and more dried, cracked and even started bleeding! So I threw it out the other day, remember... it said it was 95% natural. organic material. What's the other 5%?

    9. I am having similar issue!! I was given the Costco pack for a christmas gift last year and was so excited because I love chapstick, and i need it especially during winter! So my lips were chapped and I used one of the balms and a little while later they started to itch and hurt so I used more thinking it was just the bad weather well I told my sister and she said I might be allergic so I stopped using them and just used only carmex, about 2 weeks later they got back to normal, I considered myself allergic!
so just last night my lips were super chapped and I didn't want to go downstairs to grab my chapstick so I used a little of the pink eos, I woke up this morning with my lips itching and swollen, yeah I'm definitely not ever ever using them again!!!! Annoying!

    10. I started to use eos products around Christmas after buying some as stocking stuffers. My lips were already dry(it was winter time!) so i figured this new lip balm might help. Nope. I started to get tiny red bumps all over my lips, more so on the edges, and horribly painful cracks in the corners of my mouth. My lips burned and itched terribly. This would come and go in spells though. The skin on my lips would peel and flake and just look gross. I thought maybe it was because I had been using some old lip gloss, but then I cut out using the eos and started using just vaseline...magically my lips cleared and are back to normal! EOS sucks.

    11. Same here! I got the lavender one... I have not used eos for months and i thought the first allergic reaction was from my lipstick but nooooo!!! Because i just used eos the other day and the rash came back!!! Now i want to know what's in it! eos sucks big time!!! They should look into this!

    12. I had a reaction with it too. I felt like a snake because the skin just kept peeling off my lips. In public people asked what was wrong and I would reply, " I don't know, its weird right?" It looked like I had permanent lipstick on. My skin around my lips was so dry and hurt if they split. I had it for almost two months. I didn't believe it could be the lip gloss until I stopped using it.

  4. Exactly the same thing happened to me a few years ago! A lot of Youtubers at that point was hyping up the EOS lip balms so I pounced on the summer fruit one when I saw it. I actually really liked it in the beginning cuz it was so moisturising and it smelled so nice. It was only until the 2nd or 3rd lip balm that I saw signs of allergies. It wasn't until my parents suggested that it might be the EOS balm that I stopped using it.

I guess I was a bit luckier because I didn't get a rash around the outside of my mouth like you did, but my lips were super sensitive and chapped and had little pus filled bumps which were super nasty!

    1. Isn't that weird? I don't know if we are allergic to a ingredient in there or not. It's just weird that so many people have this problem and EOS is really not doing anything about it. If there is some type of allergent in there that effects a large amount of people, they should probably warn consumers!

      Delete
    2. I had the exact same problem with little red bumps, swelling of the lips, a stinging/burning sensation. It really does take at least a week to clear up! So annoying! I had this reaction to summer fruit. I read somewhere that coconut oil soothes it. I am also taking benadryl to help the swelling go down in case it really is an allergic reaction.

  5. I'm so glad I read this! I have been trying to figure out for months what was causing my rash! I had left my EOS at my boyfriend's and after being there this weekend, and using it, my rash came back! I had been using "Aquaphor" to treat it and it helps a lot... what takes it away is the "Lucas Papaw ointment" from Australia, find it on eBay. This thing is magical!

    3. Thank you SOOOO much for posting this. I've been getting a rash (looks just like the one in the picture) and figuring that I developed a food allergy (but hadn't been able to figure out what I was allergic to). This explains A LOT. I'm ditching my EOS and restocking my Aquaphor. Thank you again!

  6. You are probably allergic to something in the product, not all organic products have the same ingredients so you could still be having an allergic reaction to the eos.

I have been using eos for over a year now, every night and a few times per day and I have never had any issues. I love them because they make my lips so moisturized and they are long lasting so they work for me but then again I am not allergic. They are my fav lip balms.

I hope you find something that works for you.

    1. I'm sure it's something in the product; I just don't know what. That's what makes me scared to try other natural and organic products. I will just stick to my Vaseline because that has been working :)

  7. Oh my god- this is currently happening to me, too! I'm having to constantly apply Ozonol to the corners of my mouth because it's so dry and itchy. I thought the same thing- apply more EOS and it'll solve it, but it only made my lips itch more. I thought it might've been my allergies acting up, but whaddayaknow! Someone else had experienced the same issues.

Did you use anything else to combat the dryness aside from Vaseline? So far I've only been using Ozonol, but I like to stick to home remedies if I can.

    1. I started using CO Bigelow Rose Salve from Bath & Body Works. I think you can also find it at Sephora. That really helped heal all of the dryness around and on my lips. I didn't use any home remedies, but the Rose Salve made it go away 100%!

  8. OMG! Im SO glad to find this post. I'm having rashes around my mouth and its been spreading over my chin and nose area. I had NO clue why that would happen until I found your blog! The area around my mouth is all red, itchy, tingly and the skin is tight. Its been like this for 4 days and I freaked out. I had to see the doctor yesterday and she prescribed a steroid cream, she even asked if I had any change in my diet, skin care product or if I was exposed to any chemicals. I NEVER thought this little cute lovely lipbalm would cause such a damage to my skin and I never thought I would be allergic to one of the ingredients. THANK YOU so much for making this post so I can find the root of the problem and I will stop using this lipbalm immediately.

  9. wow! This is a very interesting post. I've had this rash type issue around my mouth mostly my lower lip for about 3 weeks now. The previous poster's description is exactly how I descrbe my symptoms, red, itchy at times, tingly and tightness of the skin. However I don't use EOS normally. I just tried it for a few days last week and it seemed to help the condition. but over the last 2 days it has gotten worse and is spreading across the bottom of my lip. I have no bumps or blisters at all and at times I can hardly see the rash, if I wipe the area with a wet rag or just some soap it will be red and easy to see. I rarely us any lip balm and I know for certain that I had this rash for 2 weeks before I used the EOS. Have you had any bumps or blisters? Did your rash start in one area and spread? Thank you so much for posting, I look foward to any input.

    1. Yes, I did have bumps! You couldn't really see them, but when I would rub my lips together I could feel them. The rash started only on my lips and then it spread to the skin around my lips. I hope your rash starts to get better!

  10. Omg. I am going through something very similar right now! Last Friday my lips started tingling and felt like they were on fire. I've never had a cold sore, but I read that you get a tingly feeling so I thought maybe I picked the virus up somewhere. But, it's been 72 hrs today since it started and if a cold sore were going to come up I would assume it would have happened by now. My lips have stopped burning, but they are dry and peeling and have red splotches all over so now I'm assuming I had some sort of allergic reaction even though I'm not allergic to anything that I know of. I've been using (and loving!) my EOS mint lip balm for a couple of months so I never thought it could be that until I decided to google it today. So sad but I guess my EOS's are going in the trash. I'll be sticking to aquaphor from now on! :(

  15. I had the exact same thing about a year ago. I broke out in little blisters along my upper lip line. Continued using the EOS lip balm because I thought it was just the winter time causing my lips to be so chapped. Ended up getting worse so I threw anything I used on my lips away. It got extremely bad and spread all over my lips and I ended up going to the doctor to find out it had turned into Impetigo (a bacterial infection). It took two months or so to get this horrible thing to go away with antibiotics and antibiotic cream. I never knew what caused this infection and assumed it was from picking my lips when they were dry without washing my hands. Then yesterday I thought I'd try the Summer Fruit EOS (hadn't used an EOS in a year) and woke up this morning with the SAME blisters starting in the upper right lining of my lip. Now i KNOW it was caused by the EOS.. I have no idea whats in it (because I'm not allergic to anything that I know of) and I REALLY don't want to go through that miserable infection again. Threw it straight in the garbage when i saw/ felt the little blisters in the morning. So annoying.

    1. I did not. I did have pink eye a short time after, but I don't think it was from the EOS.

    2. I actually had the same allergic reaction to blistex (medicated kind) and Sun Bum. But aside from the red ring and a tiny blister, my lips BLEW UP THREE TIMES ITS SIZE! Doctor gave me cortisone pills for six days which brought the swelling down two days after but the ring was so itchy when it started flaking so I ran it under warm water. BIG MISTAKE cause that made it so much worse. My lips were swollen again but this time it started oozing serum. Practically the warm water burned my lips because they were already very tender. Oh boy. Lesson learned.

AND, I did get some sort of pink eye a few days after. Strange huh? I had to take antibiotics for that one.

Ladies, if the red ring starts to itch and flake just put ice on it, that's very comforting. And I was advised to take anti-histamine too.

I'm gonna try the products you suggested, but I'll make sure to check the ingredients first. Can't be too careful, I wouldn't want that to happen again, haha.

Thanks for the blog post Monica. Big big help. :)

  18. I had terrible problems using Burt's Bees lips products and breaking out with bumps, peeling, chopping, burning. It was miserable. I went back to Carmex & Chapstick with no problems. Just bought an EOS because I wanted a more natural product and 2 days later my lips are in fire. I'm sure I have weeks of burning and peeling ahead of me. I thought it was the peppermint oil in Burt's Bees, but clearly it's something else too.

    1. I have looked into this a lot because I've had really bad reactions with eos including flaking and these little blisters that burn and itch really bad both times i've tried using eos. I really think its an allergic reaction to jajoba oil. Jajoba oil is in EOS, burts bees, and the nivea lip balm. It's not in carmex or chapstick and its symptoms are itching, redness, rashes, and blisters. I think that oil is what is causing most people's breakouts.

  22. I had been using eos for about a year and a half and never had any problems. Then about a month ago all the skin around my mouth bevame very dry and no moisturizer would help two weeks later I was at school and the skin around my mouth started to feel like I was being stabbed with needles. The pain became so unbarrable I went to the bathroom to put cold water on it and there was hundreds of red bumps on my chin and upper lip area. I went home and put aloe vera on it and that helped a lot. My sister called me and i told her what happened and she said that the same thing had happened to her and it was caused by eos. I started using it intermittently last week and now my lips are drier than ever. They are flaky, chapped, and really irritable. I don't have the same reaction as you in the picture (with the redness and irritation around the lips - yikes! I'm sorry you had to experience that) but it's still pretty annoying. 35. Monica...thank you very much for posting the problem you faced with your lip balm....through reading your thread I was able to find the answer I was seeking ...which is that I was using a tooth paste that has Propolis as it's main product...which I have attributed to the cause of my rash around the lower part of my lip where you would normally find foam from the tooth paste when brushing your teeth which was cause the rash...I got scared at first for two days because I thought it was a cold sore ...which I thought I got from a girl I recently met but lucky it was just my tooth paste so I am very glad you posted about your experience...which seemed to have helped many others including me. Thanks.

  36. Oh my gosh!!!! Thank you for posting this!!! I was seriously starting to think I was never going to figure out what was wrong. I have been using the EOS lip balms for months and it was after I started using the medicated tangerine flavor that my lips began to feel more and more chapped. It has now turned into this explosive red rash all around my mouth. Its incredibly painful and looks horribly ugly. I am throwing my EOS eggs away!!! Back to Burt's Bee's for me!

  37. Thankful for the people who have shared their stories. I have been using eos for months and recently started to get really dry lips especially my outer lips. They started peeling and felt like they were burning. So I would Apply more eos balm thinking that would help.

The symptoms only got worse.. Once I realized the eos was not helping my lips I started to apply Vaseline and aquafor.

  38. My lips got the little red bumps on them and I was so worried I was getting a cold sore, which I've never had. But now I know it must be from the eos balm. My symptoms are the exact same as everyone elses. Never will use eos again!

  39. Update on my reaction to the eos lip balm: it's been a couple days and I've been using aquaphor and it had worked wonders. My lips no longer have the red dots and bumps and when the aquaphor is on my lips don't feel like they are burning.

Hopefully this info will help anyone with a reaction to the eos lip balm.

  43. I'm having the same reaction you all are.. since August/13! But.. I don't use EOS. Something else is causing it. I've used Lypsyl Original lip balm for many many many years and didn't think to blame it. According to Wikipedia the ingredients are: petrolatum, paraffin, glyceryl stearate SE, paraffinum liquidum, zinc oxide, tocopheryl acetate, Aloe barbadensis and "aroma".[4] Obviously something in this mix is my problem. I hate using vaseline but after using it a couple of days my lips clear up a bit. Problem is.. anything with salt and acids aggravate the whole condition so I'm barely eating most of what I use to eat!

  44. I'm having the same problem with dry, itchy, and even swollen lips from the EOS lip balm. For 2 days now my face has been so itchy and only taking Benadryl has calmed the itching. I knew it was an allergic reaction but wasn't sure from what. I just got the lip balm last week so I'm pretty certain that's whats causing the itching. My lips are also so dry and uncomfortable. I'm definitely putting that lip balm in the trash!

  49. OH MY GOD!!! I think by reading this I finally figured out what is going on with my stupid lips!! Monica, you basically described exactly what is going on with my lips. Started as bumps and working its way to the outter edges of my entire mouth. I thought I sunburned them but then its just getting worse and I use the EOS a couple times a day and aquaphor the rest of the time. So the EOS is probably not letting it get better. OMG..i can't believe this. I feel like I can breathe. I started to think I had herpes or an infection of some kind. I just put a triple antibiotic on them thinking that would help but I think I'm just going to strictly use Aquaphor and see if they get better.

  50. I went to the store to buy Soft Lips (that is my favorite lip balm). They didn't have any so I bought EOS. I had never used it before. Well I've been suffering with horrible ear aches. I've been to urgent care and my regular doctor. They can't find anything wrong with my ears. They thought it might be cause by my allergies. I'm on nose sprays, zyrtec and an inhaler. Nothing has stopped these ear aches. No one can figure it out. Just by chance I stopped using the EOS lip balm and within an hour my ear aches stopped. I don't know what's in that crap, but I'm definately going back to Soft Lips!

I just came across this by accident trying to figure out the reason for my lip problem. my lips look exactly like yours so I thought I see what was wrong with you to have these red patches - AND I AM USING EOS. My lips are constantly tingling and dry and red. I am allergic to many things but I used that balm for months and this only started to happen. As a matter of fact I have the lip balm on my lips right now. I'm going to the bathroom to wash off that shit. Thanks.

  53. 3 years ago I used I used the EOS lip balms because everyone was raving about them, how good they were and how nice they smelt. Unfortunately I have been having problems since when I used these lip balms. My lips started to be as described in this post. Obviously I stopped using the product but unfortunately, 3 years on I am still suffering the consequences. I have chronic inflammation around the entire mouth area. It is constantly peeling, chapped and irritated and it burns like hell. If anyone knows how to cure it, please let me know.

  55. I was just searching for this! I'm still in high school, but I have pictures coming up in a week. So let's start at the beginning.... One morning I woke up with my lips so severely chapped, I could barely open my mouth. I started exfoliating with brown sugar and a sonicare toothbrush. That helped tremendously, but about a week later, today to be exact, I woke up with lips that looked exactly like your picture with swollen, almost coldsore like blisters around the edges. I used EOS before I went to bed last night! Right now I used an icepack for about ten minutes and now I'm soaking my lips in cold milk(it helps with the burn!) Thank you for helping me realize that EOS may be cute, but they definitely don't work.

  58. OMG!! I have had this issue for 4 months! I thought it was maybe a food allergy! I have been to 4 dr's and today they told me I needed to go on an antibiotic for 2 months! I used EOS for awhile and then got a new flavor and it started! The only thing is I switched to Chapstick last week to see if it was what I was using and its still bad! I wonder if I need to use vaseline for like a week and then go back to the chapstick. Maybe the sunscreen is just irritating it more. I hope I'm not allergic to both now!

  64. I've been having issues with my lips for a little over a month. It started with angular chelitis. As that was clearing up, I received a new EOS lipbalm (blueberry) from a friend. As my lips were slowly recovering from angular cheilitis, they were becoming red and irritated from what I now believe to be a sensitivity to EOS. I had no idea what was going on, but I tried anti fungal cream, anti bacterial cream, hydrocortisone cream, vitamin D and B to help fight overgrowth of yeast......and then I read this blog! I just threw out my EOS two days ago and my lips look much less irritated. I am so giddy with hope that in a few more days, my lips will be back to normal!

  66. A google search led me here, because, you guessed it, EOS was trouble for me, too. I got it for Christmas and started using it in January. Now, in February, I started researching it because I was worried I was just paranoid. Looks like I'm not the only one with dry dry chapped painful cracking lips AFTER using this product. So disappointing!

  67. Been using Eos for years. I've never had an issue with the original flavours, but have since tried the medicated tangerine and new visibly soft. Tangerine caused me to have dry lips, cracks in the corners and bumps that look like cold sores. The new visibly soft ones have make my lips red, flakey, cause burning and are constantly numb. Tossing those eos and hoping the rose salve will cure my lips asap! Been numb for days.

  68. it has been 4 months now that i'm suffering from this redness and small cuts from the upper side of my mouth. i have never had anything like this before. the only new thing that i used is this EOS lip balm. i feel that my lips were moisturized with this EOS and was applying it often. after a month of using it i feel that i needed to use more coz i feel that was having a wind burn, so i continued using EOS after a weeks i stopped using it coz my lips are starting to get abnormally sore because of dryness. and the skin on the side of my mouth is starting to peel. sometimes it burns because of the food i eat. it reacts to it but will subside the next morning. i thought it was cold sore so i used abreva, my doctor said it was not cold sore. thought it was cheleitis but again its not. i'm still struggling to cure this thing in my mouth. my doctor gave me an antibiotic which cures bacteria but today i can see that nothing is happening. we will switch to an anti fungal ointment and hoping that this will cure the redness. if not for this blog i would never guessed that it was the EOS. i believe it is !!!! this is the only new product i used before having this thing in my mouth.

  69. Google search landed me here! I have been blaming a new prescription...as it turns out I bought a new EOS on the same trip as my new prescription. Lips are red, rashy-blotchy, on fire, corners are beginning to get red and dry and lip swelling in the mornings....I lost it for a few days and noticed my lips were getting better. I found my EOS and within 24 hours I'm back to miserable.
I'm writing the company, we'll see what their response is.

  70. I had the same problem that many of you described: what appeared to be small blisters in the corners of my mouth, lips extremely dry, flaking and cracking. Of course, I kept putting more EOS on to help my lips. Finally, I slapped on some Vaseline and noticed a big improvement overnight. I was telling my boss about my lips today and she asked if I had used EOS. She said the skin around her niece's mouth was fire-engine red and they discovered mold in the cap of her EOS. I checked, no mold in mine, but after reading all these comments, I am throwing mine in the garbage.

  71. If anybody is still having problems, you might try Vaseline. I tried other chapsticks and coconut oil without success, but Vaseline made a big difference in just one night.

    ReplyDelete
  72. wow FINALLY I've found the answer to why my lips are so chapped. I don't want to gross anyone out but I found mold on one my EOS chapsticks. After googling it to see if anyone else had that experience, there was SO many instances of this happening to people. I'm convinced the mold is what's causing the reaction. Even if you don't see any mold on it, it may be early signs of molding that can't be seen that's causing people to break out. THROW ALL OF YOUR EOS CHAPSTICKS AWAY IS MY ADVICE!

    ReplyDelete
  73. This just happened to me! It starts off were you excessive dry lips and you keep applying EOS lip balm, but it doesn't help! That's what happened to me, and one morning when I woke up with the rash shown. Now it's been two days of applying vitamin E waiting for it to heal. My lips are tight, and dry with a rough rash and the EOS balm is in the trash!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. I recently had a really bad reaction to EOS as well and after it healed I bought a tube of chapsitck and had the same reaction. The only common ingredient in both was tocopherol (vitamin E). Vaseline doesn't have that in it so you might be allergic to forms of vitamin E

  76. I have the same thing!! I went to the doctor today and she told me it was either an allergic reaction to something or herpes. Then I found this! So relieved to find out I'm not the only one! I use the pink kind off and on, and started using it more frequently recently. I'm having the itching and dry cracked corners of mouth too!

    ReplyDelete
  77. I have had this problem in the past, here is what causes it. You are licking your lips too much. the tongue is rubbing against your skin making it rough and dry, causing you to get a rash. Just apply carmex and do not lick, touch, or pluck your lips at all. This should heal up after a week.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Just because something is organic doesn't mean it won't cause allergic reactions. Someone allergic to strawberries is still going to react to organic strawberries. Organic just means it's free from certain chemicals and subject to certain farming guidelines. It doesn't mean no one is allergic to the product itself.

    ReplyDelete
  79. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I use EOS for about 3-4 week. And after one week I've noticed a rash and thought it is from wind or something. But after seeing this pic it must be allergic reaction to EOS. It is same on my face.

  83. This exact same thing happened to me! I bought the EOS when I was in London last June (blueberry flavour). I was using it semi frequently but when my Nivea lip balm ran out I started using this as my go to in my handbag. This started off as a small dry patch on my bottom lip border- so of course I applied more to compensate. Over two month my lip borders and the skin outside them went fire red, with small red bumps all around. They were so dry a and peeling like a snake, all day everyday. It then started on my upper lip and I was so destrought that I went to the doctor. He says he has never seen anything like it! Tests me for all sorts of things and prescribes anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and hydrocortisone too.I threw away all my lip balms thinking they would be contaminated with something. Tests showed that I had a staff infection in the inflamed area of my lips!!! You have it naturally on your body but when you are susceptible it can break out! Finally used the anti bacterial and the hydrocortisone and it's slowly cleared up. My lips still are not the same- they are dry at the drop of a hat and still peel occasionally. They still burn a little at the end of the day.

This product is clearly giving many people a horrible relation. I'll never forget the feeling like people were looking at the dryness and there was nothing I could do. Take this product off the market!

  87. Same thing happened to me last year around Mother's Day (I remember bc I was traveling that week to PR). Prior to my trip my lips started drying around the outer lining of my lips and the corners of my mouth... the outer corner of my mouth started cracking and the whole outside lining on my lips were itchy, dry, red and swollen. I was already using EOS lipbalm as my everyday, all day lip moisturizer so I figured maybe the medicated EOS would help, but nope it didn't help at all. I consulted a dermatologist who visited the clinic located at my job who suggested I use plain vaseline to heal my lips. I used Vaseline several times a day; it took abt 2 weeks for my lips to heal. I haven't used EOS lipbalm since then... I actually have 4 brand new ones in my drawer that I'm abt to throw away! NEVER EVER AGAIN will I use this product. It was so painful and embarrasing to be walking around with my lips looking like they did.

  90. I just made an appointment with my allergist because my lips have been swelling and turning red for about 8 weeks. At first I thought it was wind burn from jogging on the beach. I coated my lips with my EOS lip balms. I got a whole pack for stocking stuffers and have used them uncountable times a day. I started keeping a log when my lips would appear more severe and thought maybe I had developed an allergy to wheat. I had recently added oatmeal to my daily diet. I was researching and came across several blogs about beeswax/cera alba and allergic reactions. After reading all of your posts, I checked and EOS does have this ingredient. Thanks for sharing your stories. My lips just started swelling and having a red irritated appearance around the outside of the lips out of nowhere! I'm stopping all EOS today!
