China Glaze's "Fast Track"

Fast Track was a part of the Hunger Games collection, which is now on clearance at Sally's. I really thought I would like this color, but it is really sheer in my opinion. I put on two thick coats but you could still see my nail bed underneath. I did a design on top of this after, so it wasn't as noticeable. I really do like this color though because it is a pretty nude with gold shimmers. Since it's a unique color, I would have to recommend this but just be aware that it may need more coats!

Price: $4.99
Bottom Line: Buy It!

My First MAC Counter Experience & Haul

I've only been to a MAC counter once, which was inside of Dillard's. Overall, my experience was great. I felt like the employees there were a lot more helpful than they were at the MAC store. The only thing was that it was extremely busy! It was Friday afternoon when I went and I waited about thirty minutes for an employee to finally help me. I didn't mind though because the service I got was a lot better than the MAC store and the employees just seemed to be more willing to help. I did go a couple of months ago, which would explain why I have some older collections from my haul. ;)

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow "Wild"

Top: Applied with Brush
Bottom: Applied with Finger

Applied all over the lid
e.l.f.'s Mineral Eyeshadow in "Wild" didn't meet my expectations. I thought this would be gorgeous, which it is but it is very hard to work with. When I applied the swatch to my hand, I thought this color would make for a beautiful smokey eye, but it didn't quite work out that way. It is very hard to blend and when you apply it on your lid, even with a primer, it doesn't look as nice as the swatch. I still have 9 other colors from the mineral loose eyeshadow line to try and hopefully they will be better!

Product: e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow in "Wild"
Price: $3.00
Bottom Line: Leave It!

China Glaze's "Peachy Keen"

I've always tried to find this color in my local Sally's, but they were ALWAYS sold out! I finally got my hands on it though. :) It is a gorgeous color but it is a little bit more neon than I was expecting. I still love it though. It's very creamy but it takes a few more coats than I would like because it does tend to be streaky. I would recommend this color to everyone because it is very suitable for a lot of different skin tones.

How to: Keep Your Nail Polishes Mixed

Here's my solution! I turn each nail polish upside down in my rack for about an hour when I'm cleaning or whenever. I do this about once a month, just so the nail polishes don't get all separated. I've found that I can't turn every one upside down at once because they will end up falling off of the rack. I just do every other one so that the one beside it is able to stabilize the polish upside down. It's actually worked really well for me!

Do you have any tricks to keep your nail polishes nice and mixed?

China Glaze's "Camisole"

China Glaze's Camisole is a gorgeous almost skin-toned color. I absolutely love this color, but not so much the formula. I always have problems with China Glaze polishes that have a thinner consistency. They seem to peel right off my nails even when I use a base coat and top coat. For this reason, I don't like this polish. After a day of wearing this, I took it off because it began to look horrible. I don't know what it is about the thinner polishes but they never work for me!

My First MAC Online Experience & Haul

I've actually made two online purchases from MAC in the past month or so. Let me just say, I prefer to buy MAC products online than going to an actual store. It is so much easier to me to look at products online and another plus is that I can look up swatches and reviews. Once you order, processing is very fast. It took less than a day for me to get my tracking number for my package. As far as shipping goes, it was extremely fast! If you sign up for the MAC emails, you should always be able to get free shipping no matter what you buy because they always send you codes for free shipping off of any order. Overall, MAC online is the best experience I have had related to MAC products.

Now, time for the haul portion:

Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick

Pro Palette

Soft Brown Eyeshadow

Superb Extra Dimension Skinfinish

China Glaze's "Make Some Noise"

This is my second time wearing "Make Some Noise" and I love it! The color is gorgeous for spring and summer. It is a creme finish and to me, it seems like it takes a little bit longer to dry than normal. But, with a top coat, this lasts a long time without chipping and I have not experienced any peeling. I know that my Sally's still has this on their shelves, so I would go check it out because it is an amazing color!

Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner

I decided to buy this eyeliner after fashionista804 kept talking about it. She was completely right about it! This eyeliner is so smooth and creamy it glides on perfectly. I didn't use the applicator that came with it, I used a Sonia Kashuk eyeliner brush and it works great! The only complaint that I have about this eyeliner is that at the end of the day, some of it does transfer to the top of my lid. I usually just go over it with liquid liner real quick so that doesn't happen. I absolutely love the look of this liner and I will be repurchasing!

e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set

When trying a new type of product, I typically start at the lower-range price scale first. I was really excited when I picked up this e.l.f. mist and set because I've heard a lot of good things about it. Let me tell you, it's horrible! It has nothing to do with the formula, but the smell of this is absolutely disgusting. It really smells like puke. I'm not sure if mine is just bad or this is how all of them smell, but I can't even take it. I wore this with my MAC studio fix powder, but I had to take it off because I kept smelling this! Has anyone else had problems with this smell?!

Price: $3.00
Bottom Line: Leave It!

Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer

Before product is rubbed into the skin
After product is rubbed into the skin

I've been using this moisturizer for about 6 months everyday now. I have learned to like it, but I think it can be a lot better. The first thing that I noticed about this product is that it had a HUGE smell of sunscreen. I know it's spf 30, but I don't think it should be that strong. It also leaves my skin a little bit oily, as you can see from the third picture. It goes away, but it takes awhile, especially if you want to put on makeup right after applying this. I did not see any noticeable "evening of skin tone or texture" either. I think this product would be good if you wanted a high spf moisturizer, but not if you want the results it promised.

Price: $14.99
Bottom Line: Leave It!

Mac Haul: Reel Sexy & In Extra Dimension

I'm so excited about this purchase! I really was looking into the Reel Sexy lipstick, but it was sold out online. But, I went to my local MAC counter and they still had it and stock along with most of the In Extra Dimension collection! I was really surprised because I've seen a lot of girls on YouTube and blogs saying their MAC was sold out. So, here's what I got:

Skinfinish in "Whisper of Gilt"

Lipstick in "Reel Sexy"
I absolutely love both things I bought & I think they suit my skin tone perfectly!

Have you bought anything from the new MAC collections?! I'd love to know!

Newspaper Nails

Here's my take on newspaper nails! I absolutely  love the look of these & it's actually easy once you get the hang of it.

All you need is nail polish of your choice, a top coat, alcohol, and newspaper.

Step One: Paint your nails a solid color. (I chose Fast Track from China Glaze)
Step Two: Once dry, apply your top coat.
Step Three: Once dry, dip your nail into alcohol.
Step Four: Take a piece of newspaper and push it on your wet nail. I found the best thing to do is to make sure the newspaper is fully saturated through the back. So if it's not, just put alcohol on the back of the newspaper once it's on your nail.
Step Five: Peal of the newspaper and you have your design!
Step Six: APPLY TOP COAT! If you skip this step, the newspaper writing will come off your nails!

I hope you find this helpful & let me know if you have tried this technique! :)

My First MAC Store Experience & Haul

First Experience:
I was actually surprised with how much I liked MAC. At first, I didn't think it was going to be anything great. But, once I walked in I was greeted and helped instantly. I knew I wanted to buy the Viva Glam Nicki lipstick, but they helped me find more things that I really liked. I never knew what the whole MAC hype was about, but their products are amazing! I've always heard about rude people that worked at MAC and there was one lady that was pretty rude because I was looking at a palette and she said to me "Uhm, that's sold out." I never asked, I was just looking at it and she walked up and said that to me, I felt like that was kind of uncalled for. Everyone else was nice though!

Haul:

Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in C3

Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick
I love everything I've bought so far & I will be sharing reviews on them soon :)

Lush's Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

I finally finished up my Lush Cupcake fresh face mask! I actually used it three months after the expiration date, and it still worked great! When I first used this mask, I didn't really like the smell of it. It doesn't smell like chocolate icing to me; it smells more minty. I really hated the smell, so my sister used most of it. I started breaking out, so I decided to give this mask another try and it did help my pimples a little bit. I feel like this mask really soothes your skin so it made it less red. I think that is really the only thing that this mask is good for, which that's what it says right on the container. But, this is by far my least favorite mask by Lush so far and I probably won't be repurchasing this one.

Product: Lush Cupcake Fresh Face Mask
Price: $6.95
Bottom Line: Leave It! (Unless you have troubled skin)
